BURLESON-Barbara Ann Rabold passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, August 16, 2021 at the age of 82.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Barbara was born Saturday, April 15, 1939 to the late George and Gertrude Carr in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Jefferson Township High School in Ohio, Class of 1957. She worked various jobs during her lifetime which included being a phone operator, computer data input at WPAFB, sales and secretarial work. Most of her life was spent in West Carrollton Ohio and Jefferson TWP Ohio and she then moved to Texas in 2013. She also had a lifetime of volunteering at West Carrollton Schools in Ohio, Citizen’s Police Academy in West Carrollton, Ohio, Miami Valley Literacy Council, and as a volunteer chaplain at Southview Hospital in Ohio. Art was one of her true passions and she was an avid painter. Her greatest joy came when she shared her art with others. Barbara was a loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Larry Carr and Joseph Carr.
SURVIVORS: Son, Matt Rabold and spouse, Judy; daughter, Tree Rabold and spouse, Tina Sansom; brother, Andrew (Butch) Carr and spouse, Gina; niece, Vickie Carr Whitaker and spouse, Randall; niece, Jody Carr Jones; sister-in-law, Della Carr; numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
