
FORT WORTH-Betty Jean Mayfield passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 78.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Great Commission Baptist Church, 7700 McCart Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76133
VISITATION: 10 a.m. Friday (one hour prior to service time)
INTERMENT: Private
Betty was born Thursday, December 31, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late David and Katherine Spriggs. She attended and graduated from Dunbar High School. She loved to visit with the elderly people at nursing homes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all.
SURVIVORS: Loving husband of 60 years, Luther Mayfield, Jr.; son, Michael Mayfield; son, Luther Mayfield III and wife, Brenda; son, Vincent Mayfield and wife, Rita; granddaughter, Cambria Mayfield; granddaughter, Viennetta Mayfield; grandson, Chandler Mayfield; granddaughter, Venise Mayfield; granddaughter, Victoria Mayfield; brother, David Spriggs, Jr.; aunt, Ethel Mae Cubitt; and numerous friends.
