
BURLESON-Carlos Barrera Diaz passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at the age of 66.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at the funeral home.
Carlos was born February 23, 1954 to the late Samuel and Juanita Diaz in Georgetown, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Rosalinda Diaz; son, Bret Guerra; son, Adrian Guerra; son, Adam Diaz; grandsons, Zachary McDaniel, Christian Guerra and Cadien Guerra; granddaughters, Jessica Guerra, Alexa Guerra and Alisha Guerra; great grandson, Jason Carriles; brothers, Sam Diaz, Jr, Rudy Diaz, Joe Diaz, Paul Diaz and Danny Diaz; sisters, Rebecca Vela and Elizabeth Robles; and many friends.

I’ll never forget I met Carlos at the last Diaz family reunion. He is my second cousin. We stayed chatting for what seemed like hours and after that everytime we saw each other at family gatherings it was always so warming. He always brought a smile to my face. He will be missed dearly.
