She was born February 3, 1949 to the parents of Catherine Wynn and Jose Martinez who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are, two brothers, Joe and Steve, one sister Noni, two grandsons, Andrew and Cole, and one granddaughter Sabrina.
She was survived by her husband Don Gibson, four daughters, Shelly King, Stacey Jones, Cathy Mills, Sharlo Burris, one son, Billy Parsons, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two cats, Peewee and Fluffy, one brother, Chuck Alviso, two sisters, Loraine Solorio and Mercedes Goldberg as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family and friends that she loved very much.
At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by family who loved and admired her very much. She fought hard to stay with us as long as possible. Everyone who knew Christine experienced how kind, loving, self-sacrificing, and strong willed she was. Her last few years were not easy, but that did not stop her from continuing to be our precious Momma, and Nana to all her grandbabies.
She found joy in painting, creating jewelry, cooking delicious meals, and story-telling. She looked forward to family dinners so she could take part in these favorite things alongside her loved ones— and sing karaoke! The adoration and love she had for family was seen in her eyes and felt by her warm hugs. During the “empty nester” years, Papa Don and Nana spent their free time cruising on their Harley Davidson’s and traveling, looking for the next best campsite to set up post and enjoy the great outdoors. She appreciated their time together while enjoying creation. They never left each other’s side.
Christine was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and she had strong faith in the resurrection hope found in the Bible (Acts 24:15). During her final moments, she found great comfort in Isaiah 41:10, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” Our world won’t be the same without her, and even though our hearts are shattered, we look forward to seeing her again in perfect health.

I love you Momma. I wish I could sit on your lap and rub your ear one more time. Watching you suffer was one of the hardest things I’ve had to endure, You fought a hard fight until you couldn’t fight anymore. You have always been a strong woman and it was hard to see you struggle. As hard as it was, I’m so thankful I was able to be by your side holding your hand when you took your last breath. I will be waiting for God’s promise to be fulfilled so I can see you strong and healthy again. Rest in peace my sweet little Momma!
Love your baby,

I have been priviledged to have been apart of your life for over 30yrs and have some fun sassy memories as well as sad ones, Though you will be missed and your legacy runs through your grandchildren and great grandchildren it had been my priviledge to have known and to have loved you. May I see you in paradise. Hugs
