HASLET-Clarence H. Blair passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 89.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Clarence was born Saturday, June 13, 1931, to the late Harley and Grace Blair in Peebles, Ohio. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the US Navy. He attended the University of Dayton and earned his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Clarence worked for the City of Dayton as a Sergeant in the Police Department and also as a Court Bailiff for Dayton Municipal Courts. He was very active in many churches, and was an elder and founding member of Beavercreek Christian Church in Beavercreek, Ohio. Clarence truly reflected Christ to those around him. He loved watching television, especially the Andy Griffith and Carol Burnett shows. His hobbies included playing golf, reading (he was particularly fond of the Sunday comics), napping, and going for walks, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. He was loving, kind, gentle, wise, generous, humble and a true servant of God. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 65 years, Janice Louise Blair.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Blair and wife, Cindy; daughter, Karen Blair; daughter, Pamela Perrin and husband, Michael; son, Michael Blair and wife, Jayne; son, Aaron Blair and wife, Myrna; grandchildren: Neil Blair; Tika Brock and husband, Michael; Amy Speciale and husband, Mario; Sarah Beard and husband, Jason; Andrea Bailey and husband, Colin; Jennifer Zuczek and husband, Craig; Mark Blair and wife, Whitney; Jacob Blasingame and wife, Samantha; Brooke Ragar and husband, Robert; Bailey Woolridge and husband, Jed; Alex Blasingame; Seth Perrin and wife, Danielle; Ethan Perrin and wife, Kourtney; Parker Blair; and Caleb Perrin; 31 great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Sophie; and numerous other family members and friends. He was “Pappaw” to many more and will be missed by us all.
