Rest in God’s peace Sarge. And thanks for the gentle reminders to a rookie cop who needed to pay a little more attention to detail on his court paperwork.

Few men can leave such a positive legacy in the way Pappaw has. His quiet strength and wisdom, his love for God and his family are to be commended and replicated. Thank you Pappaw for loving us and setting such a god example for us to follow — we’ll walk in your footsteps and teach our kids to do the same.. We won’t let you down.

We love you and we can’t wait to see you and Mammaw again in Heaven!

We are saddened by the news that Clarence has passed away but are joyful because we know that he is in heaven with the Lord. We praise God for his faithfulness, service and his devotion to God and to his family and to his community. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
Most sincerely, Greg and Nancy Shaffer
