Dad was a remarkable man in every sense. I couldn’t have said it any better myself.

Clint was always willing to share his home as we visited from California. He shared his talent of violin music and building violins. He took wonderful care of his wife Doris who was my sister during her last illness. He will be missed by all of us. Diane Owens

To the family:
May God bless and comfort you during this time of sadness. We will miss Clint. He was such a kind person! It was always an encouragement to hear his play his violin here at church. He gave several of us tips on how to play our instruments better too. He will be missed, especially his smile. Such a God-fearing man! God bless you and give you peace.

From the earliest times I remember as a kid until the last days of yours, you were always teaching me something. I never grew tired of asking you questions. If you were ever bored of answering them, I could never tell.
First, you were “Grandpa” but once I knew better, I went with “Clint” or “Smitty” but that never felt quite right in person, so “Grandpa” you remained.
You were a calm, quiet and intelligent presence amid a storm of loud personalities that constituted most of the rest of us. I did once piss you off when I had to go to the bathroom during a game at Mile High after you told me to go a million times beforehand…I think you must have really just liked football. Is that right?
At times, we didn’t speak for months, maybe years, but I feel we almost always connected and circled back on the important things. We laughed a lot.
You could have literally been anything in this world but instead ended up with all of us kids, step-kids, grand, step-grandkids (me) great-grandkids and on and on. I hope we keep you entertained and just maybe every so often, proud.
