FORT WORTH-Daryl D. Burgess Sr. passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at the age of 51.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Elizabeth’s home.
Daryl was born to Jack and Elizabeth Burgess on November 28, 1969 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Daryl is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Zapata.
SURVIVORS: Father, Raul Zapata; father, Jack Burgess; brother, Marty Burgess and wife, Serena; brother, John Burgess; brother, Devin Burgess; brother, Chris Garcia; son, Nathan Kirkpatrick; son, Daryl Burgess Jr. and wife, Kellee; daughter, Shawna Burgess; daughter, Elizabeth Burgess; daughter, Valarie Burgess; son, Zackary Burgess; grandson, Victor Burgess; granddaughter, Darlene Burgess; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Daryl was a good friend of mine, one of my best friends. He was a diamond in the rough with talent far beyond that of most men. We will miss him here on earth but he will be a fine addition to gods army.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, I’ve known Daryl for many years and I’ll remember him as the rowdy kid who lived across the street and grew up to be a family man and tried to do right by them whenever he could, big man with a big heart, he will be missed by many.

Marty and Family,
Thinking of you and sending my deepest sympathy . Daryl was there for me many times when I needed someone. From working on my car , to helping me move, he was there! He had such a big gentle heart. RIP Daryl as you will be missed.

Daryl was one of a kind very heart felt understanding always listened to me drunk as hell or sober always had his door opened for me he was my safe place family i never had my brother my friend I loved him more then anyone would ever know or understand we talked about anything and everything he gave me advise he let me know when i was messing up he always respected me and my choices when I was down he would pic me bac up I remember we used to sing karaoke from time to time in his room just hanging out shooting shit I always wanted to take him out and do karaoke in the bars at least one time so he could see how good I really was lol all those good times and moments we shared I will always be grateful and honored to be his friend I was always there for him and he was always there for me even when he was sic that man was something else I can’t believe he’s really gone my brother his time came way too soon breaks my heart kills me to know he’s gone but i know thats part of life everyone has there time im trying my best to understand that ill always be honored to be part of his life and daryl being a big part of my life you may gone but you will never be forgotten brother until we see each other again it was always a pleasure and it was a blessing knowing you man I love you brother.
