David Hitson Russell

FORT WORTH — David Hitson Russell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the age of 79.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 7 Friday at the funeral home.
Interment: David will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. Saturday in Phalba Cemetery.
David was born August 23, 1935 to the late Samuel L. and Nellie E. Russell in Loudon, Tn.
Survivors: Loving wife of 35 years, Iris Lynn Russell; son, David Keith Russell and friend, Pat Buford; daughter, W. Deanette Griffin, daughter, Rachel Leigh Martin and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Christopher E. Spruill and wife, Samantha, and Andrew K. Russell and wife, Sacha; great-grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Spruill, Sarah D. Russell, Brandon A. Russell, Shayle Lynn Russell, Madison Spruill and Chloe Spruill; one brother; two sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
