FORT WORTH-David Reginald Elmore passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 69.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Ridglea Baptist Church, 6037 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76116.
David was born Thursday, January 3, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Aubrey and Liddie Elmore. He worked in maintenance at Fort Worth State School and at JPS Hospital as a patient transport supervisor. David was also a licensed locksmith and a bingo caller at VFW for many years. David loved traveling and one of his fondest trips was to Disney World in 1987 and vacationing on the beaches of Port Aransas. He was skilled in carpentry, a proficient fisherman and making big catches with his sons, martial artist, extremely mechanically inclined “Jack of all trades”, a motorcycle enthusiast and a lover of Corvettes. (vintage/classic) He also was a collector of Three Stooges memorabilia and over the years had acquired quite a collection. David loved his music as well, sitting back and enjoying the soothing sounds of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and The Beach Boys just to name a few of his favorites. Most of all, David loved spending time with his family and BBQing on the grill or making breakfast on Sunday mornings for everyone. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed.
David is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Wilson; sister, Audrey Watkins; son, DeJai Lowe; nephew, Chris Wilson; and grandson, Jacob Arguello.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Pamela Elmore; son, David Joshua (Josh) Elmore and wife, Jessica; son, Nicholas Wayne Elmore; daughter, Amanda Lowe and husband, Chris; brother, Ronnie Elmore and wife, Carol; nieces, Tammy and Crystal; nephews, Ronnie Jr., Wade, Gary, Michael and Robert; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren; and many friends.
