Dequitta “Dee” Wanzella Honea

GRANBURY-Dequitta “Dee” Wanzella Honea passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the age of 83.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 P.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Mary The Virgin Catholic Church, 1408 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012
VISITATION: 6 TO 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the funeral home.
INTERMENT: Dee will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Dequitta was born July 1, 1937 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to the late Roland and Clara Dunegan. She loved swimming, snorkeling, sewing, art & drawing, dog training and birdwatching. She loved to read the Bible with her aunt Manola. Dee also loved having reunions with all her cousins and just having a good time with them and catching up on everything. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister and will be missed.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.W. “Pete” Honea; sister, Naomi Francis Haynes; grandson, Christopher Daniel Weber; and granddaughter, Melissa Shawn Bates.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Clarette McGinnis, Wanzella Morrison, Shawn Kaiser, Marshelle Langston and Mashelle Deal; sons, Johnny Honea and Kirk High; sister, Nessie Wragg; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
