FORT WORTH-Dorothy Hill, 96, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2020.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Dorothy was born Saturday, May 5, 1923 to the late William E. and Ethel Brown in Floydada, Texas. Dorothy and Pete owned and operated the Summerhill restaurant for 37 years making many friends, always knowing every ones names and exactly what they wanted to eat. Treating her TCU students and faculty like they were her own family, she worked at the café until she was 82 years old. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be reunited with her husband, Pete, of 72 years; grandsons, Ricky and Jeff Wood and many other family members and friends.
Survivors: Daughter, Ladonna Wood and husband, Ted; grandsons, Tony Wood and wife, Angie; great grandchildren, Chase, Brittany, and husband, Spencer and Kolby Wood; granddaughter in law, Valarie Wood; great grandsons, Brandon and Briley; great-great grandson, Maddox; great grandson, Jeremy Wood and wife, Brittney; great great-granddaughter, Kateland and Kylie; brother, Coy Brown and wife, Bobbie; and sister, Shirley Hoard.
