Ellen Sue Meconi

FORT WORTH-Ellen Sue Meconi passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the age of 82.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Ellen was born to the late William and Leona Short on July 17, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Northside High School and grew up in Lake Worth where everyone called her Sue. She spent over 20 years in Caracas, Venezuela where she met her husband, Bob. While in Caracas, she owned a secretarial agency where she employed secretaries and taught skills like typing and shorthand. She loved to entertain friends and family and was very close to her family. She also loved to travel and took a Mediterranean cruise with Bob. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.
Ellen is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Nell Young.
Survivors: Husband of 45 years, Robert Clayton Meconi; son, Mark Mars and wife, Roxana; son, Stephen Mars and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Savannah Mars, Nathaniel Mars, Spencer Mars, Chandler Mars, and Madison Mars; brothers, Leon Short and Jerry Short; sister, Shirlee Perkins and husband, Red; and many friends.
