Fort Worth-Gwendolyn Laura Goodman passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 48. Gwen was born Thursday, January 6, 1972 to John “Hank” and Cynthia “Cyndy” Goodman in Olathe, Kansas. Gwen was a math whiz, beginning when she was young, winning a regional math contest. She loved to play soccer and lettered every high school year. She continued to play soccer throughout college and continuing afterwards. Her work career took her to Chicago and then later to Fort Worth, where she became the sweetest dog mom to Sadie, a rescue dog who was found in her office parking lot. Traveling with friends to see the band Phish (she was an avid Phish fan) was a joy for her. When Hank and Cyndy would come to visit Gwen, she would take them to see many fun and interesting things in Texas. She and many friends across the country would get together for concerts. This took her to Mexico and many cities in the US. Gwen was very artistic and liked doing art projects, sketching, and painting. Many of her paintings are found throughout her home and decorated her home as well. She graduated from Kansas University (KU) with a degree in Business/Accounting and also obtained a Master’s in Business/Marketing from the North Central College in Illinois. Gwen s most recent work accomplishment was working for Mercedes-Benz as a Credit Analysist. She believed in a higher being but had no specific religion. She did research on religions from Buddhism to Mormonism to Catholicism. Her favorite sayings were “It is what it is!”, “Be grateful!”, “Wake up and be happy!”, and “Live each day as if it were your last.” Gwen was a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Survivors: Father, John Henry “Hank” Goodman; mother, Cynthia Diane “Cyndy” Goodman; grandmother, Ruthann Simmons; grandmother, Cora Jean Goodman; Aunts, Uncles, many cousins and lots of friends.

What a great friend. I will always have a special place in my heart for you. I keep thinking you will just walk through the front door of Dublin Square any moment. I love you and miss you. Her family and friends were blessed to have met you. In your words “Om my goodness gracious “

John, thank you for being Gwen’s friend. She loved you too. We had heard your name before we met you. All good and fun things. I am amazed when I hear that one of Gwen’s favorite lines was “Oh my goodness gracious!” My reply is often, “Oh my goodness!” Love this sweet beautiful daughter forever.
