FORT WORTH-Harold Jerome Lockley passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the age of 67.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
VISITATION: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (1 hour prior to service time) Friday, November 26, 2021.
INTERMENT: Harold will be interred at Liberty Cemetery in Franklin County, Texas.
Harold was born Monday, April 12, 1954, to Jinks and Betty (Skidmore) Lockley in Denton, Texas. Harold attended, and graduated from, O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, Texas, class of 1973. Harold started working at the very young age of 12 at the Clover Drive-In as a dishwasher. As an adult, his career started at Kmart on Felix Street near his home. He also worked in the paint department at Home Depot as well as working nights at FedEx. Having being brought up by a Baptist preacher, Harold attended church most of his young life and continued to have a strong faith. He loved history and loved to watch the Smithsonian channel on TV. One of Harold’s favorite trips included seeing the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. He always wanted to return to see it again. He was very quiet and lived outside of the limelight. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and will be missed.
Harold is preceded in death by his father, Jinks Lockley; and brother who just passed away 64 days ago, Michael Jinks Lockley.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Betty J. Lockley; sister, Vicki J. Harris and husband, Alfred; nephew, K. Allan Dempsey and wife, Ashlee; niece, Kristina R. Borden and husband, Daniel; nephew, Michael B. Lockley; nephew, Jonathan B. Lockley.
