Horst “Mike” Michael Henss


CROWLEY–Horst “Mike” Michael Henss lost his battle with lung cancer Thursday morning, February 8th, 2018 at the young age of 59.
Celebration of life: Saturday, February 24th 4pm to 8pm at Mike’s residence in Crowley, Texas.
Mike was born April 13th, 1958 in Germany and moved to Texas with his Grandparents in 1965. He graduated from O.D Wyatt High School in 1976. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 and spent the remainder of his time here with his family and friends doing the things that he was passionate about. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and spending time in Port Aransas, Texas with the ones he loved.
Mike leaves behind his mother, Eleanor Hauika; his beautiful wife, Stacey; daughter, Amy Traylor; son, Brian Traylor; son, Michael Henss; son, Bryan Henss; three cherished grandchildren, Christopher Traylor, Madisen Cain and Breanna Cain; He also leaves behind a loving family and friends that he cared for dearly.

Our thoughts are with you Stacey. Mike was a good friend and we both enjoyed working along his side for many years Trulite friends, Roberto and Rosa Cantu.

Our hearts go out to all of Mike’s family and especially to Stacey. You have been our friend for a long time, through good and bad and nothing can change that! Time will help your heart heal and help your life transition from Us to Me. We are here if you need us.

Mike fought this battle with dignity and grace. He was always determined to beat cancer. He was a proud and loving man and will be missed by so many. Rest in peace my dear brother in law, I will miss you. I know you were greeted at heavens door by all family members that have gone before you

My condolences my dear friend. I didn’t kno Mike but i feel like i did by knowing you for over 20 yrs. Prayers for you and da whole family. I kno its hard since i just went thru this 6 months ago. All i can say is he is not suffering anymore. An Angel was called home by god. I love u dearly Stacy u kno that. Hope to see you soon.

Mike was a part of our Trulite family and he will be missed. Praying you are filled with peace as God gives you strength for today and hope for tomorrow. Stacy, my prayers and thoughts are with you. This year has been extremely difficult for you and your family. Yet you kept putting one foot in front of the other, handling everything coming your way. So sorry for your loss.
