So sorry for your loss.
I have such good memories of coach Johnson while at Groveland Grade School. He helped all of us succeed in life.
I recently found a reference letter he wrote for me on my way to college (football). It was on his RR stationary.
He was a very special and kind man.

Coach was one of a kind. My time playing for him at Groveland was one of the best times in my life. He was solely responsible for our sports program and at time spent his own money to make sure his kids had what they needed to compete. Words can’t express my felling for him. RIP coach your legacy will live on threw the people you touched. I am proud to have been one of them.

Jim was such a pleasure to be around and sit down and have a conversation with. I didn’t know much about his earlier life but can see from the other comments and notes that he was very loved and touched many lives.
Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers for all of you.

Shari,
I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing from this life. Life is undoubtedly going to be rough for you for awhile. I am glad that you are geographically close to one of your daughters. I think of Jim every year when the Salvation Army contribution kettles appear. Jim was very loyal to that fund raising campaign. Thanks to both of you for starting Blue Valley Christian Church.
