My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Jan was a wonderful woman and mentor. She always had a smile and brought joy when she walked into a room. She will be missed.

We are so very sad at Jan’s passing. Our hearts go out to all of you. Last thing she said to me is “after the first of year let’s do that lunch”. So broken hearted.
Jim Hardman, MAERB Office Staff
My very first medical assisting program site visit was conducted in 1998 under Jan’s leadership. It was an extremely challenging visit with high emotions and even some hostility on the part of the program, but Jan handled it with such professionalism and grace. I will always consider her to be a wonderful mentor and faithful friend. Every time that I spoke with her, she gushed with pride at her loving family.
Sent with my prayers for the family during this time of great sadness and loss.

As Jan’s life partner for almost 10 years, I can without a doubt say how much she loved life. Her love of travel was wrapped around her love of people. Wherever in the world we were, she was interested in the local residents. Especially if it was a young expectant Mom. She always asked about her baby. It was really neat to see the appreciation and surprise of this total stranger from another country showing interest in them.
She taught me a lot. I will miss her deeply.

What a dear friend Jan was to me many years ago! We have not seen each other in years but what great times my husband and I had with Jan and Phil. We pray that her children, grandchildren and sister Jean are soon comforted by God’s loving peace. Great memories! Sad day!
Love to you all!
John & Alice Lorenz
We were friends with Phil and Jan when we lived in MI. John and Phil worked together at Kettering University. Jan and I knew each other through our shared love of our nursing careers. We move to Burleson because they loved their move to this area!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jan’s beloved family.
Sabine
Dear Julie, it is so sad and hard to accept that a beloved one is no longer with us, cannot be approached anymore on a daily basis. I wish you lots of strength within your family for the days, weeks and months to come. May your memories provide you some comfort.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Sabine
