Jessie (Sue) Beatrice Mulkey, 76, of Fort Worth Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 surrounded by her family and her sister at her side.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Celebration of Life: will be celebrated with her sister at her side on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
Jessie was born on November 8, 1945 to the late Clarence and Mary Nichols in Dike, Texas. She met the love of her life, Willie Mulkey Sr. on July 4, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas where they would make that their home for 59 years together and had 1 daughter and 4 sons.
Jessie deeply loved her family and her grandchildren brought so much joy and smiles to her. She loved taking care of people and would give the shirt off her back to anyone to help them in any way. Sue was a member of the American Legion Post 516 for over 50 years where she enjoyed being with large groups of people. She was a waitress for most of her life and would tell you her true love was “waiting tables” and meeting people. She worked for General Motors for a short time but always found her way back to waitressing. Sue enjoyed going to the casino and playing the machines with her sister Polly. She also loved bingo and her time when all the family would get together. Sue and Polly would work in the flower gardens and loved to nurture the flowers. The 2 sisters were referred to as “Thelma & Louise” and you never knew what scheme was up their sleeve or what they had planned. She will be deeply missed by her family but the joy they all have is comforting as they know Polly and her are dancing literally on streets of gold.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Willie Mulkey Sr.; son, Willie Mulkey Jr.; granddaughter, Misty Mulkey; 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
Survivors: daughter, Barbara Gallant; sons, James Mulkey, Robert Mulkey, Billy Mulkey, and Micheal Mulkey; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren and many friends.

My condolences to the family! I know this is hard, especially sisters so close together. I am saddened for such a loss and I will keep everyone in my prayers. Healing is a long process but with enough support, love can ease some of the burdens along with positive memories of Sue and Polly! With Love to my cousins, I’m here for y’all if you ever need anything I can provide. I’ll be there for the Services! See y’all soon. Lots of Love!
