Jorge Ramon Gates

FORT WORTH — Jorge Ramon Gates, 56, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away September 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14 at Brown Owens & Brumley Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Following the service, burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m. and the Rosary will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jorge was preceded in death by his parents, Cecilia and Santiago Gates and also by his brother, David Gates. He was a hard working man and was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his family. Family gatherings and watching football games are treasured memories his family will remember and cherish.
Survivors: beloved wife of 34 years, Alma Gates; son, Vincent Lopez Jr., son, Damian Lopez and wife Melissa, son, Jorge R. Gates Jr.; daughter, Valerie Gates Maldonado and husband Robert, daughter, Yvette Gates Cejas and husband Jose Luis Cejas Jr.; grandchildren, Fabian, Brandon, Kayla, Jade, Mathew, Raven, Jordan,and Demi Lopez, Tatiyana and Malachi Maldonado, Naomi and Baby Cejas; brothers Luis and Jamie Gates; sisters, Yolanda Dozal, Mairaelena Granados, Alma Rosa Gates, Margarita Fierro, Terry Serrano, Liliana Mena and Minerva Gates; numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
