Kenneth M. Davis Sr.

FORT WORTH–Kenneth M. Davis Sr., 76, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from complications of heart surgery.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 2 to 4 Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment: Kenneth will be laid to rest in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Kenneth was born at home on December 2, 1941 in Buna, Texas to Melvin and Ina Lee Davis. He had two brothers and three sisters and grew up in the Kennedale and Everman area. Kenneth and his partner, Rebecca Crouch started R.K. Automatic, Inc. in 1979. That business flourished for many years and he was involved in other business dealings with commercial buildings. R.K. Automatic closed in June of 2010 and Kenneth formally retired at that point. Moving from their Rendon home of 31 years to their land in the Loving, Texas area in 2011 where they have a small ranch. Kenneth loved his family and his land and his cattle and his final request was to go home and just be there until Jesus came.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ina Lee Davis; sister, Christine Davis; brothers, Dalton Davis and Chester Davis.
Survivors: Wife of 52 years, Joyce; son, Kenneth M. Davis Jr.; daughter, Karen S. Stone; daughter, Lee Ann Small; grandchildren, Eric Small, Amber Creek, Greg Small, Michael Stone, Kayla Stone, Daniel Davis and Olivia Davis; great-grandchildren, Lorelai Small, Ryder Creek, Kylar Creek and Sophie Small; sisters, Doris Miles and Katherine Edwards; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

So sorry Joyce and family. May the good Lord keep his arms around all of you in the coming days. He will be missed by many folks and family.
