Larry Joseph “L.J.” McDonald

AZLE-Larry Joseph “L.J.” McDonald passed away peacefully Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 76.
Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Family Funeral Home.
Larry was born Saturday, October 31, 1942 in Dimmitt, Texas to the late Chester and Ruby McDonald.
L.J. was a longtime overland truck driver known as “The Tasmanian Devil” which was his C.B. handle. He was an auto mechanic and worked on hot rods. He loved bow hunting which he learned and developed his skills at a very early age. L.J. will always be remembered for his loyalty as a fan of The Dallas Cowboys.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby McDonald; brother, Herbert McDonald; and grandson, Brandon Barker.
Survivors: Children, Anita, Melissa, Byron and Kevin; grandchildren, Mikey, Quint, Lauren, Ashlyn, Hannah, Garrett, Raylee and Dillon; brothers, Phillip and Steve.
