More fun than anyone I ever knew.. She had a contagious laugh..Lena was as smart as a whip. She had a voice that would carry a mile. We worked together at Gibsons and DFW Airport. She would get called down by our supervisor for her loud voice. . She would advise them she was always around elderly people and had to talk loudly. We had so many belly roll laughs. She always was cooking something good to eat and always had a glass of Tea. I would go over to her house and walk in and she would say Courtney could you get us a glass of Tea.. It was Brewed Sweet Tea… So good!!!!! I’ve never seen anyone that enjoyed Shopping, Games, she was like the ever ready battery bunny..She could go for ever. She was a perfectionist in all her work. She and I never had a cross word . Lena was plain spoken but not rude… Her door was always open to anyone… She worshiped her 2 girls and 2 Grandkids…… I never heard anyone say a bad word about Lena…. She definitely would stand up for her rights, she would have fought a Bear for her family…. I loved you Lena, I know you will be missed by so many…. You are now with your Parents that you loved so dearly….. Tell my Shandi hello and give her a big hug for me…..
Your friend for life ,

I am going to miss Tooter on our next visit to Bowie. She was the most loving and kind person I ever met. She had a great laugh, a wonderful loving HUG, AND THE MINUTE YOU MET HER YOU WERE A FRIEND. While in California her Dad Gomer would giver us money to go get ice cream. Her Daddy spoiled her rotten…And she loved her parents dearly. And boy what a cook Tooter was, I loved when there was a pot luck cause I knew she would bring a great dish. It took this California girl to get us to Texas Food but once I did I could not get enough. Loved fried okra, hush puppies, catfish, fried pickles, beans and corn bread, cold bread pudding, oh and Sour Limes at Diary Queen. Tooter I know your with so many loved ones in Heaven, I bet there are some great games going on up there. Much Love to your Beautiful Daughters & Grandchildren. You will never be FORGOTTEN OUR DEAR TOOTER❤️

I’m sad I didn’t get to know her better. But the few times I was fortunate enough to spend time around her, she treated me like family. I was very sad to hear of her passing.
I pray for Ryan, Margrette, and Courtney during their time of grief.
Rest in peace, you beautiful soul. See you on the other side.

My sympathies to the family. I worked with Lena at DFW Airport from September 2005 until she retired and she was such a kind and sweet woman. She had a good heart and loved her family dearly. Rest in peace Lena.
