BARTONVILLE-Lisa Marie Ward, a friend to many, loving mother and devoted wife passed away on Monday September 27, 2021 at the age of 65. She was an extraordinary Christian woman who gave her life to the Lord at a young age and who’s faith was always seen in her life with friends and loved ones.
Lisa was born on November 22, 1955 in Monahans, Texas to the late Aaron Dasson Simer and Ruby Lee Simer. Lisa married Robert Lee Ward on October 26, 1975. Four years later Lisa was blessed with the birth of their son David Aaron Ward on August 15, 1979.
In 1985 they moved to Stephenville Texas. It is here Lisa would spend the next 20 plus years working alongside her husband in their family businesses, actively involved with church and attending/supporting all of David’s sporting events.
Lisa and Robert enjoyed motor-homing in the summer months. The family dog, Toby, was never far away from Lisa – they had a special bond.
Lisa welcomed her daughter in law into her heart when David married Kristi on July 30, 2005. Her love for Kristi was so strong they became best friends and is a bond that can never be broken. Lisa was overjoyed with the birth of her grandchildren Jacob (11) and Luke (9) – from this moment on she was Nana. Living next door, the boys and Nana played continuously – outside exploring, working on crafts and evening bike rides. Nana enjoyed attending/supporting all of Jacob and Luke’s sporting events.
