To Amy and all the family,
I love you so much and I’m so sorry for the loss of your dad. I have known Mel since I was in first grade! He always treated me like one of the family! He was my dad away from home! I know he will be watching football in Heaven and cheering for his family in all that you do! May God bring peace and comfort to you all during this time!!! I love you all!

Big Melvin. On the football field he was a man amongst children. I was proud to call him my friend. Sure wish I had made an effort to see him. Sorry for the loss to his family.

Linda, Amy and John, so sorry to hear of Melvin’s passing. Though I hadn’t seen him in many years I will always have great memories of him. His dry funny sense of humor and the great love he had for his family is what I remember most. All of you are in my prayers.
