Mike was born Friday, September 16, 1949 to Samuel and Billye Daniel in Dallas, Texas. Mike won several trophies from ball room dancing, country & western dancing, bowling, golf, soft ball and Tae Kwon Do. He was a certified rescue diver and enjoyed swimming in any kind of water whether it was a lake, river or the ocean. He also had quite the coin collection which he had collected over the years. Mike was a dedicated worker and devoted his life to the companies he owned. He was a simple kind of man that didn’t need too much of anything and was also strong willed with a “Heart of Gold”. As long as his family was safe and well taken care of, then he was very happy. Mike lived a very full life and was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and to know him was to love him.
God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you, and whispered, “Come to me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Daniel; father, Johnnie Harris; and brother, Johnnie Ray Harris.
