AZLE-Vida Virginia Fagan, 59, was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by us all. Vida passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Vida V. Fagan was born on April 9, 1960, in Paris, Texas to Henry Dwayne Hicks and Mary Virginia Poole. She graduated from North Lamar High School in Paris, Texas. She was a nurse for many years and proceeded into management later. She loved Antiques & Collectibles/resale. Vida loved exploring her family’s history with genealogy. She was an amazing teller of many stories.
Vida is preceded in death by her father, Henry Dwayne Hicks; grandfather, Henry Franklin Hicks; grandmother Virgie Hicks and grandmother, Vida Palmer.
Survivors: Loving husband of 39 years, Marvin D. Fagan; sons, Chad S. Fagan and wife, Rebecca, Marcus D. Fagan; daughter, Arika M. Elkins; stepdaughter, Angela Blackerby and husband, Robert; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; mother, Mary Virginia Poole Jones and husband, Philip; sisters, Yvetta Hicks, Jessica Hicks, Misty Vaden, Christy Gwinn, Melissa Gibson and husband, Jamey; brothers, Jesse Wright and wife, Mickey, Harvey Hicks, Gerald Hicks, Johnny Smallwood and many other extended family members and friends.
