FORT WORTH — Angie Bourland Jones, 85, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, March 17, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown, Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.

Angie was born in Itasca on Jan. 28, 1931, to the late George Carl and Anna McClusky Hamilton Bourland. After attending Mayfield School through the fifth grade, she graduated from Itasca High School at the age of 16. She attended Texas Christian University where she graduated with a degree in home economics and a minor in business. Angie began her teaching career in Itasca before moving to Fort Worth to teach, where she met and married Frederick Earl Jones III; he preceded her in death on June 1, 2006. Angie and Fred lived in San Antonio, Houston, Pearland and finally Andrews where she taught for 13 years at Devonian Elementary. After retiring, Angie and Fred moved back to Fort Worth to be close to family. Angie was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt and friend.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; sister and brother-in-law, Neva and L.G. Lacy; and brother, Buford Bourland.
Survivors: Sons, Burton and wife, Gretchen, of Colorado, Bruce and wife, Melanie, of Mansfield, Mark and wife, Heather, of Luxembourg; daughter, Julie of Fort Worth; her adored grandchildren; sister, Bernice Scott and husband, Bob; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bourland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
