Ann was born on June 22, 1925 in Irving, Texas to Henri Jeannet and Fernande Bideault. Her parents, both being French, Ann was also full-blooded French. Ann lived in Fort Worth the majority of her life. She was the youngest of five children, and the last of her generation in our family, outliving her spouse, all of her siblings and most of her friends. Growing up, Ann attended Travis Avenue Baptist Church. She graduated from Pascal High School and before marrying, Ann worked at the Worth Theater in downtown Fort Worth. She loved working there and she loved old movies, a love she passed on to her daughter. She was working in the box office, which sat out on the sidewalk separated from the theater, on V-E Day. The celebrating crowds became so boisterous that her manager brought her into the building for her safety. Ann was married to William (Bill) Florin, whom she adored, for 62 years. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family’s needs before her own. She and Bill were the most fun people to be around and were always the life of any gathering. They especially found great joy in their grandchildren. A very talented seamstress, she delighted in sewing beautiful creations that she both sold and happily gave away. She loved knowing that her handiworks were being used and enjoyed by family and friends. Ann was an avid reader with a closet full of books to prove it. This love of reading she also passed down to her children. Though not an especially good cook, she was a wonderful baker. Her family loved her desserts and each one has their favorite. There are even some funny stories to go along with certain of her desserts. Though she will be desperately missed we know that one day we will all be together as an eternal family.
SURVIVORS: Ann is survived by two children, Bill Jr. and Patricia, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel, and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Jesse.
