Bertha Jane Dees

FORT WORTH-Bertha Jane Dees passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 80.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Northpointe Church, 2450 SW Wilshire Blvd., Burleson, Texas 76028
Bertha was born Friday, March 29, 1940 in Smithfield, Texas to the late Arthur Joseph and Ollie Etter Aderholt. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and plants but most of all she loved her doll collection. She had numerous dolls that included Barbie’s and baby dolls. Bertha was a caring person and she nursed her husband during his illness for more than 15 years before he passed away. And then it didn’t stop there, she nursed her brother for more than 9 years before he passed away. The caring and nursing gene was passed on to her granddaughter, Brandy Whitsell, who became her caretaker for more than 5 years. Bertha was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, mother-in-law and friend and will be missed by all of us who loved her.
Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Dees; son, David Dees; brothers, Billy Aderholt, Ed Ray Aderholt, Cotton Aderholt and Jerry Aderholt; sisters, Mary Matthews and Katie Williams.
SURVIVORS: Son, Danny Dees and wife, Pam; daughter, Debbie Dees; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dees; granddaughter, Brandy Whitsell; grandsons, Landon Dees, Caleb Dees, Phillip Jacobs and Rusty Denney; granddaughter, Amanda Pratt; grandsons, Matt Dees and Jason Dees; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
