FORT WORTH — Betty Jean Wright, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the age of 84.
Service: 1 p.m. Friday in Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home. Interment: Betty will be laid to rest in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Betty was born in Fort Worth on Oct. 27, 1930, to the late Hugh and Jessie Chapple. She was a civilian employee at the Fort Worth Police Department and was a volunteer and employee at Baylor All Saints. She was a member of both the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of The Nile, and she served on the advisory board for The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
Survivors: Husband of 64 years, Jack Wright; daughters, Vivian Wright and Vicky Williams; grandchildren, Sharon Mineo and husband, Ben, Valerie Williams Simmons and husband, John, Vanessa Moody and husband, Walter, David Williams Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kavonne Williams and David Simmons; and numerous family and friends.
