FORT WORTH-Betty Jo Phillips Miller passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at the age of 95.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. “All are welcome here…” and please wear bright colored clothing, preferably blue.
INTERMENT: Betty Jo was laid to rest with her beloved husband of 48 years, Billy Miller in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Betty Jo Phillips Miller’s name to your favorite non-profit charity or Westminster Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth or Tarrant County Humane Society.
Betty Jo was born Tuesday, September 28, 1926 to the late Richard Parks Phillips and Eda Mae Phillips in Tulia, Texas. She attended and graduated from Paschal High School, Class of 1943 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in 1947 from TCU and went back in 1988 and received her Master’s Degree in education also from TCU. She met the “Love of Her Life”, Billy and they were married June 13, 1948. She had a strong Christian faith and was brought up in Broadway Baptist Church and raised all three children at Travis Avenue Baptist Church. Dad was a member of Fort Worth Christian Church. Betty Jo was a very humorous and longtime 3rd grade school teacher. She saw things often as an eight year old and was very playful. One of her greatest achievements was being a wife to her husband, Billy Miller for 48 years and raising their family. She was the greatest mom and will be missed deeply.
SURVIVORS: Son, Barry Miller; daughter, Ginny Charles and husband, Greg; daughter, Rana Lambdin and husband, Roger; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
