William “Bill” Joseph Walton passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the age of 56. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, in Brown, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors’ Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Bill was born Oct. 2, 1956, in Savannah, Ga. He was an avid tennis player as a teenager in Florida and an enthusiastic outdoorsman his entire life. Bill loved the time he spent fishing and sailing with his wife. Always a scholar, his degree was a bachelor’s of applied science from FAU in Boca Raton, Fla., and his career was in software development. He was a board member of the Fort Worth Makerspace. Those who were fortunate enough to know him well considered him a remarkably genuine, kind and loving man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors: Wife of 29 years, Jane Walton; brother, Rick Walton and wife, Marvicor; sisters, Debbie Walton and Wendy Walton; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends. –
