RICHLAND HILLS-Binnie Lynn Anderson-Smith passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 74.

Binnie was born August 21, 1946 in Houston, Texas to the late Julian Phoncefort and Marjorie Bernice (Ellis) Anderson.
Binnie graduated from high school in Houston and attended San Antonio College where she studied business and administrative studies. She started out working at JC Penney’s and Foley’s department stores in customer service while living in San Antonio, Texas, then on to Customer Service at Southwestern Bell where she worked up to VP Customer Service and relocated to downtown Dallas.
Her hobbies included gardening (specifically flowers), reading, birdwatching, drives in Texas hill country enjoying the wildflowers, baking, ceramics, playing bridge, needle work and square dancing.
Binnie love philanthropy, nature, birdwatching, animals, gardening flowers of all kinds and classic films and music. She believed in fairness and kindness to everyone and stood firmly against racism and inequality of any kind.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Rebecca DeLong (John) of Keller, Texas; sister, Dorothy Hagen of Lynchburg, Virginia; sister, JoAnn Miller-Miranda of North Zulch, Texas; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
