Buddie Earl Rutledge

FORT WORTH-Buddie Earl Rutledge went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the age of 85.
Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, Bro. Neal Seaborn officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the funeral home.
Interment: Buddie will be laid to rest with his beloved wife of 62 years, Polly at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Buddie was born Wednesday, September 6, 1933 to JB and Bernice Rutledge in Fort Worth, Texas. He had one sister, Barbara (his partner in crime) in their younger years that he adored. He was stationed in Germany during his military service in the US Army. He married his sweetheart, “Polly” on January 14, 1956 and celebrated their marriage for 62 years. Buddie and Polly had two sons, Rod and Brad. Buddie was a devoted Christian, husband, father and grandfather. He loved watching and cheering for his grandchildren in their various sports and activities. He enjoyed all the outdoors tremendously, but hunting was his main passion. He especially loved sharing their family lake house with countless parties and celebrations. He will be missed by many and will continue to carry on in our hearts forever.
Buddie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, his wife, and his eldest son, Rod Rutledge.
Survivors: Buddie is survived by son, Brad Rutledge; grandson, Christian Rutledge; granddaughter, Lindsay Rutledge; granddaughter, Miranda Rutledge; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
