Carol Clayton

December 16, 1951 — December 27, 2024

Carol grew up in Electra, Texas, a small town near Wichita Falls. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. Following her high school graduation, Carol relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Bobby Clayton.

Bobby and Carol were married on June 28, 1977. They cherished traveling and spending time with friends. Together, they raised three children: a son and twin daughters. Carol left her career to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschooled all three children throughout their elementary and high school years.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, known for her lively and engaging personality. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to connect with others and make them feel cherished and like family. Her laughter was contagious, and her sense of humor was unmatched. People were drawn to her warmth and affection, often referring to her as "Momma C" or "Aunt Carol." She had a deep compassion for both people and animals, often stopping to feed deer or rescue stray dogs.

She cherished her role as a grandmother to her seven grandsons, enjoying taking them out for meals and then visiting the dollar store to let them pick out toys.

Carol's family has peace in her death because she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior many years ago, and they know that she is now in heaven. The family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved husband, Bobby, who passed away four years ago. Carol expressed her wish for her family and friends to celebrate her life rather than hold a traditional funeral service, knowing that she is in a better place and that they will be reunited with her one day.
