Carolyn Beth Leaman of Bedford, Texas, victoriously entered eternal life, reunited with our Lord and Savior and her cherished husband on December 23, 2024, after a brief illness at a local hospital. Born on January 7,1947, in Jefferson, Iowa.
Beth was the adored daughter of Jack William Grant and Ruth Virginia Arthur (Grant), whose nurturing and love prepared her for a life of grace and fulfillment. Beth learned the values of loyalty and camaraderie—a foundation that would later define her relationships and interactions throughout her life. Her years growing up in Lansing, Iowa with her brothers Scott and Kevern Grant, were filled with fond memories and lifelong friendships, setting the stage for her eventual entry into the fields of sales and marketing, where she excelled. It was during her professional journey that Beth crossed paths with the love of her life, Donald S. Leaman, in the city of Fort Worth, Texas. Their story was one of mutual respect, shared laughter, and an abiding partnership that weathered the tests of time. Together, they loved and supported four sons and a daughter, Todd Fairbanks, Corey Fairbanks, Mark Leaman, Terri Thompson, and Steve Leaman,
Beth's family tree expanded with the marriage to Don which included eleven grandchildren, Mckenna Fairbanks, Hailee Fairbanks, Campbell Fairbanks, Melissa Leaman, Eric Leaman, David Leaman, Whitney Alsallum, Andrew Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Zach Leaman, and Phillp Leaman. To them, she was more than “BeMa” and “Nana” she was a wonderful combination of warmth, kindness, laughter, and love.
As a survivor of domestic violence, she was a steadfast advocate and gave tirelessly of her time and energy to causes she held dear. Her involvement included serving as a board member for the SafeHaven of Tarrant County and Mid-Cities SOS which exemplified her passion for community service and volunteerism—traits that endeared her to so many and left an indelible mark on those whose lives her efforts touched. Friends and acquaintances of Beth frequently recall her innate ability to form meaningful connections. Her warmth and empathy were immediately apparent to anyone fortunate enough to make her acquaintance, while her genuine smile and contagious laughter could light up even the darkest of days. Beth’s capacity to listen and offer advice only further cemented her role as a nurturer and guiding light throughout her community. A celebration of Beth’s life will be held on February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Cross Creek Church Chapel in Colleyville, TX. This gathering will offer friends and family a moment to reflect on Beth’s life, sharing stories and memories that epitomize her influence.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to SafeHaven of Tarrant County, an organization close to Beth’s heart. Her family hopes these donations will facilitate the continuation of the community support she championed. As we celebrate her life, let us remember Beth not in mourning but with joy for all that she was—a loving wife, a devoted mother, an adoring grandmother, and an unwavering friend to many. She leaves behind a legacy intertwined with generosity, empathy, and most importantly, love—a legacy that inspires us all to reach out a helping hand and uplift those around us. Carolyn Beth Leaman’s journey may have concluded, but her remarkable essence, selfless warmth and boundless kindness will eternally inspire our hearts, motivating us to embody the transformative power of love and the profound impact of community, reminding us that the most extraordinary achievements often lie in the simplest of acts and the life-changing power of human connection..
