Charles Armitage, a dedicated EMT and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 45. Born in Floyd County Kentucky, but was raised in Arlington, TX from age 2, Charles lived a life of service, compassion, care for others, and loved Jesus.
He was known for his unwavering commitment to helping those in need, often going above and beyond the call of duty. His colleagues and the many lives he touched will remember him for his professionalism, kindness, and heartfelt dedication to his work.
Charles was more than just a first responder; he was a cherished friend, mentor, and confidant. He was a member of the BONE Motorcycle Ministry. (Brotherhood Of No Excuses Motorcycle Ministry) BONE Motorcycle Ministry is dedicated to service, committed to accountability, and devoted to outreach and he was proud to be a part of that. His warm smile, infectious laugh, and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Michele Lee Armitage, his children; Samantha Renee Armitage, Lilyauna Skye Armitage, Cassidy Grace Claus, Mason Lewis Fulfor; father Robert Lester Armitage, and late mother Francis Louise Armitage; sister Shonda Flores and brother James Armitage; Ray and Reka Wood, and a large circle of friends and colleagues who mourn his loss but celebrate his remarkable life.
The service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Lake Church in Arlington, TX where family, friends, and coworkers will gather to honor and remember Charles for the incredible legacy he leaves behind.
The family requests donations instead of flowers. (Please no flowers) Donations will go towards medical costs as well as the Americas Vet Dog Foundation. The America's Vet Dog Foundation trains future service dogs for Veterans or First Responders with disabilities, a cause that was close to Charles' heart.
