Craig Michael Wright

FORT WORTH–Craig Michael Wright departed this life on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Craig was born on February 6, 1967, in Dallas, Texas to the late Garland Clifford Wright and Judith Ann Smith Wright. His parents wanted a slower pace of life for their young family so they moved to Tyler, Texas where his father formed a lifelong friendship with his architectural partner and they created Sinclair+Wright Architects. His mother devoted her time to her family and civic causes including volunteer work at a local hospital.

Craig graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler in the class of 1985 and attended college in pursuit of the technical and artistic training that would be the basis of his career, With his love of art and interest in science fiction he was excited by the development of digital media technologies and was well positioned to take maximum advantage of the opportunities available when the commercial internet developed in the late 90’s. He worked with a number of high-profile projects beginning in pure marketing work and moving into user experience with many companies including IBM, Motorola, and United HealthCare.

Although he loved his work, his greatest sense of fulfillment came from his relationships with his family and friends. Spending time watching a movie, cooking an outstanding meal, playing a game, bowling or fishing with someone he cared about was a big part of his life. He was an accomplished cook and nobody left his table hungry. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature whether hiking, camping or fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Harrison Wright; sons, Brendan and Ethan Wright; mother, Judy Wright; stepson, Benjamin Harrison; stepdaughter, Katherine Gosa and granddaughter, Bryton Harrison.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no memorial service.
