Cynthia Neal

November 30, 1940 — February 23, 2025

Cynthia Neal, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, in North Richland Hills, Texas. Born on November 30, 1940, in Galveston, Texas, Cynthia lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and unwavering love. She was 84 years old at the time of her passing.

Cynthia was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Bertha Dorris, who preceded her in death. Despite life’s challenges, she built deep and lasting bonds with those she loved. She is survived by her devoted sister, Patti Campbell, and brother-in-law, Herb Campbell. Cynthia took great joy in her role as an aunt to her nieces, Natalie Fairbanks and Suzanne Howard, as well as their spouses, Todd Fairbanks and Kevin Howard. She is also survived by several beloved great-nieces and a great-nephew.

Cynthia studied Business Education at Oklahoma State University, where she proudly joined Zeta Tau Alpha. Her collegiate years instilled in her a love for lifelong learning and personal growth, traits that defined her character throughout her life.

Professionally, Cynthia made her mark as a Senior Vice President and Property Manager at Stephens, Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas, where her talent and dedication to real estate were evident to all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Known for her intelligence and genuine nature, she built lasting relationships and left a positive impact on those in her professional sphere. When moving back to Texas to be closer to family, she continued her passion for real estate with Synergy Realty in Southlake.

Cynthia was more than just a professional; she was deeply involved in her community. She had a fun-loving spirit, a deep love for her country, and a profound sense of patriotism and respect for others.

Cynthia found joy in many hobbies, especially in her younger years, including tennis and snow skiing. More recently she enjoyed the simpler things in life like spending time with family and friends and the occasional trip to Winstar Casino. She had a special fondness for her cats, who provided constant companionship and love throughout her life.

Those who knew Cynthia will remember her as a person who was not only fun-loving and funny but also compassionate, respectful, generous, and grateful. Her intelligence and genuine spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Cynthia’s legacy extends to the incredible care and support she received from the staff at Holiday Lane Estates along with Magnolia Hospice, who provided her with comfort and compassion during her final days. In honor of Cynthia, the family requests that donations be made to Operation Kindness Pet Rescue (operationkindness.org) in lieu of flowers.

A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held on March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Cross Creek Church/First Colleyville Chapel, 5300 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
