Dan Haffelder

Dan Haffelder passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at the age of 83.

Dan was born September 16, 1939 to the late Bob and Alma Haffelder in Austin, Texas. He was a generous man and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. Dan was an expert shade tree mechanic and could get anything up and running again. He was a building contractor and built a glass house that was "architectural" masterpiece. He worked for Overhead Door hanging garage doors for many years. Dan retired and just tried to stay busy taking care of life. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bessie Haffelder; second wife, Nadine Haffelder; sisters, Reta Brandenburg, Helen Callis and Ann Hall; daughter, Rhonda Gilbert; son, James Davis; and brother, Bob Haffelder.

Survivors: Wife, Virginia Johnson; children, Danny Wayne Haffelder; son, Rick Davis; son, Roger Haffelder; daughter, Robin Dowdy; daughter, Judy Johnston; daughter, Michele Bayer; sisters, Mary Burnett and Leah Whelchel; brother, Roy (Doc) Haffelder; numerous grandchildren, Daniel Dustin, Brandon, Bradley, Jesse, Chris, Jeffrey, Cody, Tara, Brittany, Kimberly, Darryl, James, Nancy, Jason, Jamie, Charlie and Nicholas; and numerous friends.
