Daniel (Danny) Wade Downing

Daniel (Danny) Wade Downing Sr went to be with his life long love & our Lord on March 30, 2023 at the age of 78. He passed at home in the room he shared with his love before her passing 22 months earlier.
 
Danny was born January 4, 1945, in San Angelo, TX to the late Jefferson Daniel (JD) Downing and Sarah Long Hardeman, he was their middle son. He was happiest when he was able to hunt and attend/watch baseball, football, or any sporting event.

Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, the shooting range, baseball, football, and watching hallmark movies later in life 😊. He also enjoyed being the ATM for his grandkids - he just didn't know how much he enjoyed it.
 
Danny was a great provider as a computer programmer, and retired with over 35 years of service to Chuck E Cheese. He was also a long time Mason. He was a devoted husband, father, PawPaw & Great PawPaw, brother, uncle, father-in-law, and friend.
 
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Downing, Father, Mother, and his older brother Thad Downing.
 
He will be missed here on earth, but we know he is no longer in pain nor is he missing our beloved Mom & MaMere' and they are celebrating together! He is survived by his children; son and wife Danny and Leslie Downing, Jr., son and wife Chad and  Khris Downing, daughter and husband Kim and Brandon Redinger, son and wife Guy and Heather Downing. Grandchildren; granddaughter Erin Nicole, grandson and wife Timothy and Hannah Downing, grandson and wife Colt and Alana Trotter, granddaughter and husband Sarah and Jason Porter, granddaughter and spouse Brooke Redinger and Clayton Storm, grandson Dalton Downing, granddaughter and husband Aubrey and Garrett Lakey, grandson Gabriel (Gabe) Downing, granddaughters Isabella Downing, Reagen Downing, and Lauren Downing. Great-Grandchildren; great-granddaughter Brayleigh Trotter, great-grandson Cullen Trotter, great-granddaughter Finley Downing, great- grandsons Knox Downing and Easton Lakey. Others; brother and wife Gerry and Susan Downing, sister-in-law and husband Madeleine and Mark Foster, sister-in-law and husband Kathryn Walthal and Dusty Thigpen, brother-in-law and wife William and Aubrey Ward, six (6) nieces, two (2) nephews and multiple great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
