FORT WORTH-Daniel Joseph McCaffrey passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the age of 66.
Memorial service: There will be no services due to COVID-19
Daniel was born Saturday, October 3, 1953 to the late Edmund Joseph and Barbara JoAnn Anderson in San Pedro, California. He graduated from Sulphur Springs ISD, class of 1972. Dan (Dano) was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved God, the Texas Rangers, animals, listening to the Beatles, cooking, golfing, grilled steak, and Tom Clancy books. He was a retired ironworker who helped build many of the buildings in downtown Fort Worth, Texas and to this day when the light hits just right, you can see his Zippo lighter in one of the buildings downtown. He was retired from Gerdau Steel in Midlothian, Texas. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family as heaven has gained another angel and we have gained a guardian angel here on earth.
Survivors: Daughter, Jennifer Adora Leech and husband, Austin; step-daughters, Jessica Nicole McCabe Dickens and husband, Bradley, and Rachel McCabe Taucer and husband, Doug; sisters, Artlissa Dupler and Rachel McLain Browne; brother, Joe McCaffrey; niece, Amy Madonna Torrez; nephews, Justin Brown and Colin Browne; grandchildren, Ariana Michelle Leech, Emilee Renee Leech, A’aliya A’marie Leech, Eleanor Bradley Dickens, Esther Royal Dickens and Evan Hoggard; and numerous friends.
