FORT WORTH — David Harrison Hollingsworth passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at the age of 55.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Monday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
David was born Jan. 29, 1960, to Robert and Kaye Hollingsworth in Fort Worth. He loved golf, fishing and camping, and had a true love for the great outdoors. He was known as “Freight Train” during his youth when he was playing baseball. David loved watching his grandsons playing football and baseball. David was also the best bartender in town. David is greatly loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hollingsworth; sister, Karen Stone; and grandma, Mary C. Westenhaver.
Survivors: Loving wife of 22 years, Charlene Hollingsworth; daughter, Stacy Peters and husband, Ricky; grandsons, Logan, Gavin and Maddox; mother, Kaye Hollingsworth; sisters, Kathie Banks and Pattie Colwell and husband, Sam; brothers, Russell Stone and wife, Paula, and Robert Hollingsworth and wife, Daryn; sisters-in-law, Cindy Walters and husband, John, and Kathy Pride and husband, Garrett; brother-in-law, Sam Guell and wife, Mary Ann; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
