Don Willard Harris

FORT WORTH-Don Willard Harris passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at the age of 73.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the funeral home. The viewing will take place during the visitation only.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at True Vine Baptist Church, 3732 Miller Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76119. There will be no viewing on Friday at the service.
Don was born July 27, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Rufus and Cherine Harris. He was a graduate of M. L. Kirkpatrick High School and later attended the University of Texas in Arlington and Southern Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas. Don was a Baptist preacher and also commissioned later as an area volunteer missionary for the North American Mission Board. He worked as a general contractor and painter as Don Harris Painting Company. He was an avid domino player as well. Don will be remembered for his big smile and his big “booming” laugh. Don will be deeply missed.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Harris and Cherine Jones; son, Duane Harris; and granddaughter, Tiffany Daniels.
Survivors: Loving wife of 55 years, Gail Harris; daughter, Taunya Franklin; daughter, Christian Harris; son, Dominique Harris; grandson, Darryl Burley; grandson, Demetrius (Teddy Franklin); great grandson, Ilijah Franklin; great granddaughter, Jordyn Franklin; and numerous relatives and friends.
