Doris Ann Brewer

FORT WORTH — Doris Ann Brewer passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the age of 81.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Monday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel with Pastor Clayton Phillips officiating. Interment: Doris will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, George Brewer Jr., in Tin Top Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Doris was born Feb. 10, 1933, to the late George and Anna Lavin in Loartown, Md. She met and fell in love with the love of her life and they were married on Dec. 18, 1954, in Fort Leonardwood, Md.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by us all.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Lavin; husband, George Brewer Jr.; son, Richard Brewer; great-grandson, Samuyl Rivers; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors: Son, Alan Brewer and wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Michelle McCollum and husband, Craig, Leah Gore, Andy Brewer, Rachel Taylor, Jillian Taylor, Christie May Rivers and husband, Tyrone, and Amy Martin and husband, Kerry; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbie Brewer; brothers, Dennis Lavin and Wayne Lavin; sister, Cleo Barnes; and many friends.
