Doris M. Brooks

FORT WORTH-Doris M. Brooks Williams passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 93.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Wake: 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
Interment: Doris will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Ernest Williams in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Arlington, Texas.
Doris was born Sunday, March 14, 1926 to the late Edward and Elizabeth Brooks in Morgan City, Louisiana. Doris loved sewing, working with children, dancing and reading her Bible. She was retired from FWISD as a teacher and also taught sign language. She was a member of Mount Ephraim Baptist Church, Mother of Mount Ephraim Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher. Doris loved her family, loved children, and also loved vanilla ice cream. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors: Sister, Gracie Sias; and a host of nephews and nieces.
