FORT WORTH — Dorothy Wilson went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the age of 89. She joins her beloved husband of 52 years, Charlie.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park, David Melton officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brown, Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born July 29, 1924, in San Antonio. She was a lifetime resident of Fort Worth.
Dorothy was a loving mother, nanny, great-nanny and great-great-nanny who will be deeply missed. So many times she was the rock we leaned upon, and the world without her is surely going to be a little emptier now. She leaves behind a loving family so very grateful for her love, her faith and her support.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Bentley and Erna Barr; beloved husband, Charles Milton Wilson; daughter, Linda Kay Taylor; son-in-law, John T. Taylor; and granddaughter, Kathy Little.
Survivors: Daughter, Donna Melton and husband, David; daughter, Janet Coulter and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Tammy, Tanya, Mikal, Travis and Robert; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.
