Edith Ann McDowell went to heaven on September 5, 2024. She joined her loving husband, her parents, her brother, her brothers in law, her son in law and her grandson. She will be greatly missed by her remaining family and many friends. Known to most as Ann she was first and always a homemaker. She was a valued employee outside the home as an office manager.
She had a talent for making all she met feel recognized, unique and appreciated. She always made lemonade out of lemons and helped all she could. She enjoyed her time as a Sunday School teacher, sewing, baking and candy making, watching Jeopardy, watching college football especially the Oklahoma Sooners and followed the Green Bay Packers. Her love of reading was something she encouraged in all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann would often advise not that you can do anything, but instead that "you don't know till you try". She also said on many occasions "the bigger they are the harder they fall". Ann's husband Kenneth often referred to her as his "little banty hen" as she was passionate about what she believed in and stood up for the rights of those who could not stand up for themselves. Ann was a patriot, proud to be an American, proud of Kenneth's service in the US Army and of all servicemen. Ann will be missed by all who knew her. The Family will celebrate the life of Edith Ann McDowell on Tuesday October 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Brown Owens and Brumley Family Funeral Home and Crematory located at 425 S Henderson St, Fort Woth Texas 76104.
