July 9, 1946 - July 22, 2023
Eddy Dailey Sutton age 77, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2023 after a recent illness. There will be a memorial service on August 19, 2023 at 11am and will be held at First Baptist Hurst, with a luncheon following.
Eddy was born on July 9, 1946 in Fort Worth, TX to the late William Sutton and his mother, Ruth Sutton, age 99, who lives in Fort Worth, TX. He leaves behind his wife, Sally Sutton, sister, Rebecca Stewart, children, Cathy (Russ) Fisher, Sons, Jay Sutton and Kenneth (Lizy) Rucker.
Grandchildren: Alex Fisher, Shea Fisher, Brandon Sutton, and Savanna Rucker.
Eddy and his wife, Sally were happily married for 35 years and they were each the true love of the other's heart. Eddy and Sally loved to dance, take long motorcycle trips and exciting cruises all around the world. They loved spending time with the Lord, family and friends. Eddy had been struck with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 54, which slowed down what he was able to do, but Eddy kept his great attitude and was a bright light for the Lord even when he was confined to a scooter and could no longer walk a long distance.
When Eddy was a boy, he was a very curious child. He was always trying to figure out how mechanisms, like clocks and other household items worked, but the problem was when he began taking things apart, he could never understand where the extra parts came from. As a teenager and a young man, he and his sister, Becky, began to learn roller skating. After a few lessons, they were told that they were good enough to compete in contests all across America. They won many medals and ribbons to show their talent, but Eddy found out he loved to speed skate and had at least one concussion to show for it.
In his young adult life, he became a band manager. He loved the music and promoting his bands, which then led him to photography. His talent and imagination made him one of the best photographers as he took photos of families, friends, and so many famous stars and celebrities. Then, photo restoration came out as a new field of work, Eddy became an expert. He set up a studio shop in his home. When asked what part of the restoration work that he enjoyed the most? He was always quick to say that his greatest joy of the photo Restoration business was the wonderful conversation with the customers after bringing their old photos back to life.
Through all of his life from a young boy until now, God has always been Eddy's "Solid Rock". And it wasn't long in a conversation that he would bring in his wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture? Philippians 4:13 "I can do al things through Christ who Strengthens me". This Word from God was always Eddy's strength and confidence. And today, right now, Eddy is in Heaven having a wonderful reunion with those gone before, and we are certain that when he met Almighty God, he heard "Well done though good and faithful servant".
